Programs/Project Integrator – Thompson, MB

Our client, a leader in the Aerospace industry, has a requirement for a Programs/Project Integrator at their Glacier’s test facility in Thompson, Manitoba.
General Responsibilities
Manage logistics and coordinate resources in support of both operations and test programs at the GLACIER test facility. In addition, the individual will oversee and maintain the Procurement System including purchasing as well as shipping/receiving.
Specific Departmental or Project Duties
• Liaise with management, OEM’s, and Certification Authorities in preparation for testing programs at the facility
• Liaise with Project Management Specialists on behalf of the client for management of various design support initiatives
• Coordinate/Manage system upgrade initiatives to ensure all project management requirements are met and sufficiently documented as required
• Liaise with Customer Service Representatives on behalf of management and process owners for various inquiries and technical request submissions
• Monitor programs management business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs); and monitor and report on performance against objectives, targets and KPIs
• Maintain the quality controls, continually improve the purchasing and planning processes and ensure operations-related customer satisfaction objectives are met
• Act as the main point of contact for project management aspects of communications/schedule with outside contractors, adhering to corporate procedures
• Manage scheduling of site activities for test programs and other facility upgrade initiatives
• Provide a comprehensive project management service for the implementation of all agreed elements of the capability acquisition program
• Oversee and manage the Operations Activities Calendar to ensure all activities are carried out by the associated process owners
• Oversee and manage the Calibration Calendar to ensure all facility equipment remains in calibration over the required test program duration
• Effectively manage the Procurement and Inventory Control Processes
• Coordinate site contractor works with Chief Facility Engineer
• Manage/Coordinate manpower requirements in support of onsite activities
• Review/verify manpower time-sheet allocations against Test Programs and Facility Upgrade Projects
• Schedule Jet A-1 fuel deliveries
• Preparation, management, and regular reporting for all aspects of facility upgrade project budgets
• Manage prerequisite background analysis and present proposals for facility improvements
• Manage employee competence, training and awareness; and enhance the skills of new personnel in the competencies associated with Procurement and Administration processes at the test facility
• Ensure that the corporate skills competency and training matrix is up to date
• Review inputs for daily test reports for joint venture and 3rd party test programs, and submit to the customer on behalf of site management.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties within the capability of the job holder, as requested by the immediate supervision.
• Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
• Excellent attendance and health record
• Meet the company’s sight and aural test requirements
• Experience in planning and budgetary control practices
• Project Management Certification from a recognized Project Management Institute an asset
• Project management experience on high profile projects or programs for five or more years
• Experience in managing multiple small and large scale projects simultaneously, including program budgets, timelines, contractors, and manpower resources
• Experience in operating under AS9100 / ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited management systems
• Industry related experience in Health and Safety would be an asset
• Industry related experience in Environmental Management Systems would be an asset
